We offer fixed-price project engagements for well-scoped work, time-and-materials engagements for exploratory or evolving initiatives, and monthly retainer arrangements for clients who want ongoing strategic and technical support. We are transparent about how we price and will always provide a detailed proposal before any work begins. We do not require retainers to get started, and we do not bill for time spent managing ourselves.
Absolutely. While our office is in Mississauga and many of our clients are in the Greater Toronto Area, we regularly serve clients across Ontario, across Canada, and for certain digital engagements, internationally. Our design and development work is entirely location-agnostic. For infrastructure and on-site network work, we assess travel requirements on a project-by-project basis and will always be transparent about any associated costs.
After an initial discovery conversation, we prepare a detailed scope of work and project proposal. Once agreed and signed, we schedule a formal kickoff session — typically 2 to 3 hours — with all key stakeholders from both sides. During kickoff we review objectives, align on success criteria, set up communication channels and project management tools, establish a milestone schedule, and ensure everyone understands their roles and responsibilities throughout the engagement.
We have done this successfully on numerous occasions. Before committing to take over an in-progress project, we conduct a thorough technical review to understand what has been built, what documentation exists, what decisions were made and why, and what risks we are inheriting. This review is billed at our standard rate and forms the basis of our proposal for completing the project. We will always give you an honest assessment, including if we believe the best path forward is to rebuild from scratch rather than continue on a flawed foundation.
All our project engagements include a structured handover period during which we document the work, train your team, and ensure everything is running properly before we step back. We offer optional ongoing support agreements for clients who want continued monitoring, maintenance, and strategic advisory after project close. Many of our long-term client relationships began as single projects and evolved naturally into ongoing partnerships because the clients found ongoing value in having Mongatech as a trusted technology adviser.
Every client engagement begins with the execution of a mutual non-disclosure agreement. We have internal policies governing how client data is handled, stored, and destroyed at project close. Team members who are not directly involved in your project do not have access to your information. We are available to sign client-provided NDAs and to review any additional security or compliance requirements your organization may have. Clients in regulated industries such as healthcare and finance receive additional data handling protections appropriate to their compliance obligations.
